Kicking off the Holidays

Yes I know it is July ! Have you seen all the crazy "Christmas in July" sales? Well I can sort of understand the need to have Christmas in July. You see my world pretty much explodes beginning in November. Specifically right about one week before Thanksgiving. Suddenly everyone decides they need a Christmas stocking, and not just any Christmas Stocking, a CUSTOM one :) Now you notice this makes me smile, there are two reasons.

1.) I love doing custom work. I get such a kick out of making something which is special for that person. I also love hearing their ideas and searching for designs which meet exactly the picture they have in their head. It is a blast!


2.) I love the idea that on Christmas morning and every morning leading up to it, they see that stocking hanging in their house.


In some ways it allows me to be part of many, many Christmas celebrations and I love the idea of that!
I just wish I could convince the world to shop a little bit earlier :)


So I am going to try this! In celebration of "Christmas in July", my new blog, my desire to make some cool, fun stuff, and well everything else I can think of. I announce a contest! The winner gets one set of never released before Christmas ornaments.

This set contains four ornaments handmade and machine embroidered with your choice of Christmas designs. You can pick pretty much anything you want. Such as, bells, holly, candy canes, reindeer, santa, elves, etc. These are custom ornaments shaped like stockings and I can add small names or initials as well.

Here are the rules:

There will be one winner, the winner may choose multiple designs for the same set of ornaments, ornaments are custom designed and will be completed within two weeks of the end of the contest. Please play fair and remember to treat this contest in the spirit in which it is offered, fun :)

Each one of these counts as ONE entry!

1.) tell all your friends! If you friend likes my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/mrsclaussewingroom and makes a comment to let me know you sent them, you get an entry! The entry only counts for you if they notify me that you are the one who sent them.

2.) follow my blog! If you follow my blog and make a comment below about the design you would like on your ornaments, you get an entry!

3.) tweet my contest! If you tweet my contest and follow me on twitter: http://www.twitter.com/mrsclaussewing, you get an entry!

4.) spread the word any other way! If you are more creative and online savy than I am and you can find another way to let the world know about my contest, I will give you another entry. You must contact me to tell me how you earned the last entry.

On August 1, 2011 I will take all the entries and put them in my stocking cap and draw out a winner!
